Very nice. Strange and unique, but nice.
I love that Riley and Xander were able to get out of Sunnydale. That town has such bad energy and in the end, it pretty much broke all of them in canon. So, it's always good to see someone escape.
Also, this has to be the most unique way to cross two shows. Yet, it fits. Frightenly well, in fact. And even though Riley was my favorite Buffy boyfriend, he seems to fit into the dynamics of NCIS better.
Would love to see a sequel. There's so much that can happen from here. Like: dating. Can't be easy for either Riley or Tony to date. How do you explain the baby with two dads when they aren't vetted to know the truth? Plus, it was a SuperSoldier program. That's gotta mean something, right? What did the Inititative hope for these children? Super powers? Enhanced strength? Telekinesis? What? And when exactly does that show up? And if it does, would they be allowed to keep thier son or would they end up having to track him down from being kidnapped along with a bunch of the other experimental children?
Please think about it...

Well, I definitely didn't mean to miss the update on this! (By the way, I got the congrats on LJ, I just never got to reply so thanks! And, yes, more of my own mini-Xander story is going to be coming. ^_^)
Anyway, I love that Xander has discovered his thumb now but then loses it again. Ha! So very baby-like. And I just keep picturing the way the baby I used to watch would grin and laugh whenever she saw me or my roommate or when her mom came home and it's so easy to picture the way Xander squeals when he recognizes any of their voices. (The fact that he and Riley just got adopted by the team as family is awesome - I can so see each of the things you mentioned with each team member.)
And woo, apartments right across from each other! That should make things even more interesting. I'm curious on whether or not Tara will show up for a visit - maybe as a break from all the magic-using Willow does? Well, unless Willow cuts back on the magic. Or maybe just to see them or to give them an update on how everyone is doing. Or all of the above. Actually, I'm very curious on whether or not any of the BTVS storylines are going to stay the same - Joyce's death, Buffy's death....quite a few of the season 5 storylines could impact Riley if he gets word about it. Not to mention Tara's death in season 6. And if not, and you're just planning to stick with exploring the relationship with these characters then yay for that too! I know I'll be happy either way.
Well, now that I've babbled at you about random things I liked and was curious about, I'm going to just finish this comment up by saying I loved the new chapter and can't wait for more. Oh, and thanks for the link! I've been enjoying each of the stories. :)
